In response to the Covid-19 crisis, //NKST is collaborating with students from the School of Communications and Information at Rutgers University to begin a purpose-driven, non-profit, pilot program supporting small business.

Summit, NJ, June 2, 2020 - //NKST, a growth acceleration firm located in Summit, NJ, is piloting an innovative “Small Business Response Team” program to assist two important segments of the economy and society that have been greatly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic: small business and recent college graduates facing a tight job market.

The Small Business Response Team program enables professionals from //NKST to collaborate with volunteering 2020 college graduates and rising Juniors/Sophomores from the School of Communications and Information at Rutgers University. The program will provide free marketing support for Main Street and Small Businesses that need help navigating the new challenges of a pandemic business environment, as well as provide valuable, skill-building experience for students.

Small Business will receive up to 3 months of digital marketing support at no-cost to help drive awareness and reconnect their business with customers. Graduates and students who participate in the program receive the opportunity to gain real-world experience from //NKST’s marketing team members and add a practical business internship to their professional resumes.

“As a New Jersey-based company, we are very excited to pilot this type of purpose-driven internship with students from the School of Communications and Information at our State University,” said Doug Longenecker, Founder of //NKST, “We are thankful to be part of this win-win opportunity to provide support and help both small business and college students establish more secure footing during tough times.”

“We believe this is a great opportunity for our new graduates and next round of graduates to be actively involved in business communities as well as receive a valuable internship experience that can serve as a positive starting point for their careers,” said Ildi Koczan, Assistant Director of Student Services for Careers, at the School of Communications and Information Rutgers University.

The Small Business Response Team program is scheduled to launch in June.
